Town Center, Glen Rose

Glen Rose has its historical center laid out in the typical fashion of a rural Texas town. The courthouse is in the center of a city block, All around it is ample parking and the old buildings that make up the town square. There are antique places and some places to eat. The courthouse is interesting as well as the grounds. A dinosaur footprint can be viewed on the side of a pavilion, and this marks the area connection with dinosaur evidence. There is also an interesting star shaped fountain that has drinking areas at each of the five points. A lot of people fail to stop by here as they go to the nearby parks, yet this town has a charm in its center that is worth exploring. Anyone in search of a quieter day trip would probably like a stop here.
