Rinky-Tinks Ice Cream Parlor & Sandwich Shop: Excellent lunch on the Square!
My friends and I stopped here for a light lunch. We had fun putting quarters in to the juke box that had a good selection of songs. There was also a guy there doing a little bit of live music. He waited til our songs were done on the juke box!
The sandwiches had good prices - $5 or $6 and there was a wide variety of tasty sounding choices of hot and cold sandwiches and wraps.
We didn' t have any ice cream, but it looked good!
I highly recommend it as an excellent stop for lunch!
Favorite Dish: The chicken salad sandwich on a croissant was very good!! 5 out of 6 of us got that! It came with a pickle, but chips were extra. But the sandwich was big and filling for lunch.

The Merry Heart: Sweet Little Tearoom/Gift and Antique Shop
The Merry Heart is so called after the scripture from Proverbs 15:15--"A merry heart hath a continual feast."
Not only was this a tearoom (pic#3), but also an antique and gift store (pic #2). As my husband and I thought about what to order I noticed the colorful floral tablecloths, ivy covered arbor, the presence of antique accessories, pastel pink and blue dinner service and friendly conversation surrounding us. Surprisingly other ladies had been successful in dragging their husbands into this delightfully feminine realm, too.
I ordered the Merry Heart Chicken Salad Plate ($10.50) which included their signature chicken salad recipe, fresh fruit with yogurt dip, pumpkin bread with strawberry-cheese filling and salad with poppy seed dressing. It was an excellent choice! (pic #4)
On a recent visit, I ordered the sampler ($12.50) which included a small cup of chicken noodle soup, a wedge of spinach quiche, pumpkin bread with strawberry-cheese filling, assorted melons and yogurt dip. Another tasty dish! (pic #5)
Merry Heart tearoom serves an afternoon tea from 3:00-5:00 pm by reservation only. Regular hours are Mon.-Thurs. 11:00am-3:00 pm; Fri. & Sat. 11:00am-6; Sun.11:00am-3:00 pm.
Favorite Dish: Absolutely tasty meal, pretty antiques and accessories

Rinky Tinks: An ice cream parlor with pizzaz!
Rinky Tinks captures the 50's so well- Elvis posters and Marilyn Monroe photos decorate the walls, oldies music blares from the jukebox and an old-time ice cream counter welcomes each and every customer!
After ordering my usual calorie laden treat...a chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream cone, I settled into my chair and just took in my surroundings. Rinky Tinks is just plain cheery! One has a choice of sitting at the counter stool or on a chair at the table. Although we ordered ice cream, other items were on the menu. There was alot of finger-licking going on in the room, so the food must be real good.
A small band platform sat at one end of the restaurant with a sign announcing: LIVE MUSIC 6pm-9pm. Upcoming dates: November 18th and 25th.
Recently we made a return visit with our daughter and grandson in tow. They loved Rinky Tinks!
Favorite Dish: Many flavors of ice-cream and other typical lunchroom fare

Pearl Street Pasta House: Dine on the Square!
We stopped by the Pasta House before our play at the opera house. I liked the decor inside and the waiters were friendly... the service was a bit slow, but it was Saturday evening. They were also out of a couple of dishes, but said it was due to a large party. The prices were decent for the food. Bread was included, but salads were extra. Overall, it was a lovely experience. I would recommend trying it out!
Favorite Dish: I had the manicotti. It was good, but very cheesy. My friend had the italian quiche and it was very tasty. Another friend had a pasta dish with chicken and a brandy wine sauce that wasn't red. I think it was my favorite!

Favorite Dish: I had the Caramel Hot Angel, which was a steamer... (hot milk). It was very yummy!!

Nutshell Eatery, Bakery & Creamery: For Sweet or Savory
Our thoughts turn to ice cream on hot summer days and that's exactly what prompted us to stop by Nutshell Eatery, Bakery and Creamery on one visit to Granbury.
Tempting bakery items sat behind a glass case, while a mural depicting 19th century life overlooked the small dining area. My husband and grandson opted for ice cream cones, while I just ordered an icy diet soda.
Although we didn't order a meal at the Nutshell Eatery, the restaurant seemed to be serving up the usual lunch time fare.
Cotton Patch Cafe: Great Food; Nice Atmosphere
$14 as of July 2012. Back in 1989 two guys decided to open a restaurant called Cotton Patch Cafe in the town of Nacogdoches, Texas. They tried to create an imaginative and varied menu with good grilled items and a friendly atmosphere. Today they have 41 restaurants in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. I stopped in the one in Granbury because it was near my motel and because I had tried one before and been pretty pleased. This one looked much like the other inside and out and I figured I was going to have a good dinner. They exceeded my expectations. The food was very good and my waitress was professional, friendly and had a great smile (Hi Michelle). The Cotton Patch serves all you can eat catfish on Friday and Saturday for $10, and has daily lunch specials. Hours are 11 AM to 9:30 PM Sunday through Thursday and 11 AM to 10 PM on Friday and Saturday.
Favorite Dish: I really enjoyed my Cajun Duo (fish and shrimp) which had just the right touch of spices.
