There are several outdoor areas where patrons can view the racing events which include a outdoor apron seating area which is reserved as well as unreserved benches on the apron between the racetrack and the Grandstand. Concessions stands are handy to these areas as well as the grassy slopes.

To the west of the main Lone Star Park buildings is a family fun park which sits on 2 and a half acres designed purely for family entertainment. There is a sloped grassy viewing area for watching the races and often is the venue for big outdoor events, festivals and other family attractions. For the kids there is a bounce house and a giant slide as well as picnic pavilions, restrooms, pony rides and a petting zoo.
General admission is $3.00 and children under 3yrs are free.

There are terraced dining facilities in the Clubhouse and Jockey Club so as not to miss the racing events will eating. The glassed walls of the grandstand certainly provides amazing viewing as well as being in a climate controlled environment. Away from personal viewing there is also more than 600 television screens plus a giant infield screen.

The Grand Prairie Tourist Centre is right in front of Lone Start Park and part of the Teri Jackson Tourist Info Centre. Aside from providing local information of places of interest, accommodation and dining suggestions, they also have a gift shop which features Texas themed items.
