Grand Prairie lies between Dallas and Ft Worth and just a short distance from Dallas/Ft Worth airport. You can reach the area by either I-20 or I-30 east/west o between Hwy 360 and Loop 12. Grand Prairie also has its own small Municipal Airport which serves both Grand Prairie and Tarrant County.

    Transport in Grand Prairie

by Alleypat Written Feb 7, 2003

There IS no bus service in Grand Prairie, even though it is part of Dallas County. I would suggest car, as hardly anything in Texas can be accessed otherwise unless you are in a larger city like Dallas or Houston. Bikes are OK and there are some designated areas for biking, but like most of Texas, biking can be hazardous as drivers do not look out for bikers. Bikers are required to drive the same as cars, but cannot of course, get on the freeway.
