The Cowboys Golf Club opened in 2001 and was named as such because the Dallas Cowboys Football team is a co-owner. The teams memorabilia is displayed in the clubhouse and around the course there are plaques which commemorate important moments in the Dallas Cowboys history. The Golf Course is adjacent to the Gaylord Texan Resort and Conference Centre.
The course cost around $12 million to layout and is known for lush trees, waterways and natural habitat. There is an attractive elevation which changes throughout the course. If you are a nervous golfer then you need to know that its under the flight path of DFW airport.
The Grapevine Municipal golf course opened in 1979 as a 18 hole championship course which was designed by Byron Nelson and Joe Finger. It has been rated among the top 75 public courses in the U.S.A. Improvements to the old course were designed and nine more holes have been added to make a total of 27 holes available.
