Homestead Winery, Grapevine

The Homestead Winery is located in an 1890's Victorian on a quiet, shady street off Main in the midst of small, private homes. Although its main operation is in the Red River Valley of North Texas, one of its tasting rooms is in Grapevine, Texas.

Two of the wines promoted won People's Choice Awards from Grapefest 2006: Desert Rose NV Dry Muscat ($10.99) and Muscat Canelli ($10.99). Homestead buys its grapes from various growers and offers a number of wines, such as, Homestead Chardonnay, Sangiovese or Sweet Red.

Homestead wines can be found in Off the Vine (Grapevine) and Whole Foods. The Grapevine location can be booked for weddings or wine tastings. Hours are Mon.-Sat. 11 am-5:30 pm.; Sun. 12 Noon-5:30 pm. A small gift shop is on the premises.

The Homestead winery is located in a lovely restored 1895 home, just off Main Street. They have both wine sales as well as wine tasting. You will also get a taste of Texas history and traditions.

The winery is open until 5.00pm daily.
