The most delicious place to eat real mexican food in Harlingen!!! Typical south Texas, small town atmosphere, with lots of Texas friendly people!!! The Owner is a grandmother of 14 and greatgrandmother of 5!!
Favorite Dish: The enchiladas are the best in Texas, dripping with melted cheese!!

Favorite thing: The American Air Force Heritage Museum is now in Midland Texas, but at one time it was located in Harlingen ( then called The Confederate Air Force ) . This one is for airplane freaks .
The drive down the coast from Houston to Harlingen was like being in an oven .
Luckily there was a restaurant in the Motel so there was no need to go back into the heat . Decided to have some Mexican food. The food was fantastic but , it was "HOT". My eyes were watering so much that I thought I would lose my contacts.
The next morning the skies were overcast and the temperature around 60 deg F. In San Antonio five hours later , snow was in the air. Snow on the Alamo ????
