Pho #1: Good Plentiful Vietnamese/Thai Food

by Basaic Written Jun 4, 2014

$15 as of May 2014 This restaurant was in a strip mall with an HEB and did not look like much from the outside; but was actually a better looking place on the inside. The food was pretty good and plentiful. My waitress, Ari, was attentive and professional. Hours are 11 AM to 9 PM Tuesday through Sunday.

Favorite Dish: Thai style Chicken Curry.

The most delicious place to eat real mexican food in Harlingen!!! Typical south Texas, small town atmosphere, with lots of Texas friendly people!!! The Owner is a grandmother of 14 and greatgrandmother of 5!!

Favorite Dish: The enchiladas are the best in Texas, dripping with melted cheese!!

    American Air Force Heritage Museum

    by RACCOON1 Updated Jun 17, 2004

    2 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: The American Air Force Heritage Museum is now in Midland Texas, but at one time it was located in Harlingen ( then called The Confederate Air Force ) . This one is for airplane freaks .

The drive down the coast from Houston to Harlingen was like being in an oven .

Luckily there was a restaurant in the Motel so there was no need to go back into the heat . Decided to have some Mexican food. The food was fantastic but , it was "HOT". My eyes were watering so much that I thought I would lose my contacts.

The next morning the skies were overcast and the temperature around 60 deg F. In San Antonio five hours later , snow was in the air. Snow on the Alamo ????
