Architecture / Historic Buildings, Houston
Feel its sizes and contrasts of architecture styles of different parts of city.
Fondest memory: Houston itself outside the downtown. Look at the picture - it's what I call an 'one-floor-America' - buildings do not grow up, they grow wide. It is quite strange to see sucha contrast - extremely high buildings gathered in one place, and thousands of flat houses around. What a contrast!
I loved the modern blocks in Houston, there are so many fabulous buildings.
Fondest memory: Great food. I really liked the Mexican food and the great Margaritas.
The Chase Tower has an observation deck worth visiting.
Fondest memory: Originally built as the Texas Commerce Tower, it was designed by I M Pei.
The tower is located at 600 Travis Street
