Inside the Galleria is a full sized ice rink, just in case a game of hockey needs to break out. Also with every rink of ice, you will need a zamboni, which they do in fact have.
There is public skating, as well as lessons for figure skating, first time skaters, and even hockey matches!
This beautiful Christmas store is not actually on the Boardwalk but is on the right hand side of the street leading to the walk. I want to point this out because, believe it or not, there is ANOTHER Christmas store right on the Boardwalk. I liked this one better because of it huge inventory and dramatic merchandising.

If you like to find bargains, go shopping on Harwin in the Westchase area. It consists of about 1-2 miles worth of shopping plazas full of great bargain/off-brand merchandise. The most popular things to buy are purses (knock-off Gucci, Kate Spade, etc) and jewlery. There's also a large Indian/Pakistani population in that area, so if you are looking for ornate fabrics or furniture, this is the place.
Enron Field is Houston's new baseball arena replacing the renowned Astrodome.. Located downtown, this stadium embraces cutting edge technology while sticking to baseball basics.. Catch a game or get a behind the scenes tour..
Since South Padre island is 6 hours from Houston and the beaches in Galveston are dirty and overcrowded, the best spot to go is Freeport. Take 288 south until you hit water.
