My favorite dessert being prepared at Perry's!! by XenoHumph This elegant restaurant offers nice pasta dishes, delicious seafood and grilled meat. Good wine list. Every second Tuesday of the month, they have a special wine tasting diner which is absolutely fabulous (about $130 for two, wines included)! The service is very good with dressed up waiters and waitresses who are all extremely nice. Great for romantic diner. There is another Perry's italian Kitchen in the northern part of Houston (5670 New territory Blvd in Sugar Land).
My favorite dish is in the dessert category. Well, I am not sure of the name (Nutty Angelo?) but it is vanilla icecream, topped with a flambe sauce made of butter, sugar, pecans and brandy! Fantastic!! Me at the Entrance by Ken_Weaver I have now eaten in this specifice restaurant three times in a week. I'm in Houston working on a project and our team has really liked this place. I have eaten at two other Papacitos in the Houston area during my stay here. The other restaurants served the same great food although the decor of the latter two was a bit more upscale. Service has been great at all places! When I first walked in to this location, it looks like most moderate-to-nice Mexican theme restaurants. As soon as we sat down, we were greeted by Marc, who turned out to be this incredible waiter who knew everything about the food and sold us on the specials even before we looked at the menu.....the specials were the most expensive...$19.95 each. The service was prompt and the food was superb. I noticed lots of little detail thing like in the middle of the restaurant is this tortilla cooker.....circular in nature....one employee stands there putting the little round balls of dough on a chain track that carries the ball to a plate that flattens it on to a revolving disc.....the disc carries the flattened dough to a blade that peals it off of the disc, down to a revolving cooking discs and then they slide off of that when they are done....the employee puts the fresh, hot tortillas in baskets which the waitstaff take to the tables.
Mahi with Acapulco Sauce- Char broiled fish topped with a creamy wine sauce with al dente vegetables( brocolli, tomatoes, peppers) , avocado, shrimp and scallops. Side dish of baked beans, and rice with one of the fresh tortillas...........$19.95 Chicken Breast with Acapulco Sauce- Chicken breast was char broiled and then sliced into strips before the sauce was added. Same accompaniments........$12.50 Theme: MexicanPrice: US$21-30 » Currency ConverterComparison: more expensive than averageAddress: 15280 I-45 North Houston, TX 77090Phone: 281.821.4505

Tastefully designed with international flair (high-beamed ceilings, warm woods and elegant flowers), Fogo de Chao is a spacious temple for enthusiastic eaters. Families and corporate types feast leisurely on limitless skewered meats slowly roasted over an open fire. Don't expect a menu; it's strictly all-you-can-eat. After visiting the stunning salad bar, brimming with pristine vegetables, cheeses, black beans and breads, relax while polite gaucho-clad servers come calling with your every carnivorous craving. Sample one--tender filet mignon comes to mind--or all 10. Thick lamb chops, pork loin and bacon-wrapped chicken are sometimes overcooked; highly seasoned (albeit salty) beef selections are juicy and rare. Fogo does incredible things with plump chicken legs and pork sausages. Dessert? You must be kidding. The California-heavy wine list includes some goodies from Argentina and Chile, and the Caipirinha, a high-voltage sugar cane cocktail, is worth a try. This place is half-all-night diner and half-pastry shop. It has the vinyl and formica decorative appeal of a bowling alley and people come here because people come here and I think (but I'm not sure) that that circular logic has remained pretty much unbroken since the place began serving up slices of chocolately Bayou Goo in the 70s. Its funny, because HoP's very LACK of pretension is appealing, particularly given its location between West University and River Oaks, those two pillars of old money in Houston. Truck drivers, high society types, curfew-busting high schoolers, off-duty cops, etc... all are welcome. From sugar-free pastries to classic fruit favorites and sinfully rich offerings like the multi-layered Bayou Goo and chocolate cream--all freshly baked--there's a pie for every craving. The all-day, short-order menu offers typical greasy spoon fare, but the drink sizes are generous and the staff is the down-home friendly type you'd find in any Southern diner. Initially embraced by the gay community—which earned it the affectionate nickname "House of Guys"—this round-the-clock establishment has become a general hangout for those wanting to nosh and watch the human parade pass by. Try Chef Ben's smoked salmon with warm potato cake or the barbecue chicken quesadillas with goat cheese, roasted onions, and poblano (Molzan redefined quesadillas in this town). Dinner entrees could range from a simple grilled chicken breast with Pinot Noir sun-dried cherry sauce or grilled, bacon-wrapped filet with wild mushrooms to a saucier grilled pork chop dish with red wine and ancho chile cream. The notable wine list is sprinkled with some French classics, trendy Spanish and Australian choices, and multitudes of California winners. Signature sweets are the chocolate creme brulee cheesecake, bread pudding, and white chocolate mousse. Leave a Comment

This restaurant is known for the peking duck. Lots of people go there, but it is a small restaurant and on busy nights sometimes there is a wait. Sometimes it's so busy that service suffers, but the food is worth it! Be patient and enjoy the meal.
The Peking Duck ($23, feeds 4) is the house specialty and LOTS of people go there just for that! They serve the meat with the crispy skin and white sweet buns. It's SOOOO good! (But they don't serve the soup or stir fry courses that sometimes are served with the duck.) Get the family dinners where four or more entrees are served. It's the traditional family-style way of eating! This cool restaurant is a family-style Italian restaurant in the Woodlands. They don't take reservations, so get there early and be prepared to wait about 30 minutes (drinks at the bar?). But the food is delicious! Lots of cool decor on the walls! You even order off a menu on the wall, and the everyone shares the entrees.

All the dim sum favorites for a very reasonable price. Its decor is a little rustic but it's big enough that there's never a wait and very casual. The best time to go is Saturday or Sunday mornings around 10-11 am when it's full of people to get the full experience.
Get an iced coffee with milk with your dim sum. Also, try the porridge! ![[image obtained from internet] - Houston](http://cache.virtualtourist.com/1/711780-the_best_Thai_food_in_town-Houston.jpg) [image obtained from internet] by John_P_LSU Really the best Thai food in town! The atmosphere is nothing special. They do not have a liquor license so you can bring your own bottle of wine or whatever and they will open it for you (much cheaper than $30 a bottle in most restaurants).
Tom Yum Goong soup -- Shrimp soup, flavored with lemon grass, mushrooms, herbs, lime and chilies -- very hot and served with white rice!!! There is a spicy shrimp dish that is really good but I can't think of the name!!
