Seafood! Good fresh seafood, all kinds of seafood. If you like seafood and New Orleans style cooking you will love this restaurant.

Favorite Dish: Start with a dozen fresh oysters and move on to crawfish étouffée and dirty rice. Excellent!

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen: Yum more seafood!

This was a short interlude in preparation for the long flight home to Edinburgh. I wanted something special but not too costly (don't we all??) to fill my tummy while I waited for the plane.

They have a cajun seafood buffetr Monday to Friday 9.30 - 3.00pm. Just my luck that it was on a Saturday!

Favorite Dish: Had to have the lobster seafood salad. I love the salads in the States, plenty of lettuce etc, and a sizeable portion of lobster and other seafood. Tasty without having to drown it in mayonnaise or tartar sauce. Not cheap at $15.99 but with the refillable soft drink, it came to a nice round $20. Pics to follow.

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen: Mouthwatering Cajun Seafood!

    Pappadeaux

Pappadeaux is a fantastic Cajun seafood restaurant, and part of the Pappas Restaurants chain. I just have to say, out of all the restaurants in Houston, this is one of, if not my favorite place to eat at! If you like Cajun food, or if you enjoy seafood, you need to at least try this restaurant! First of all, the atmosphere can be considered as busy, but festive, as I have rarely been to a Pappadeaux and it not be at least fairly crowded. Around lunch and dinner times, this place is packed! Sometimes the wait can be a little long, but it's worth it! The food, yes, thats what we are here for! It's excellent! For starters, they have a long list of appetizers. Everything from fried alligator to boudin sausage is served up, all a really good beginning for the meal. They have some great salads, and their gumbo soup is outstanding! If you feel like a sandwich, they have first-rate Poboys here. For main entrees, well, where do I begin?! Oysters, Catfish, Salmon, Shrimp, Crab, all prepared in a variety of styles. (I prefer blackened, but to each his own!) They also have fresh lobster and steaks on the menu as well. A good option if you want to have a little of everything is to get one of their combo platters. And with some to-die-for desserts such as Key Lime Pie and Vanilla Cheesecake, you will most certainly have to loosen your belt to accommodate your huge belly! :) Pappadeaux is by no means a cheap place to eat, but I think you will agree with me that after you finish your meal, it will be money well spent!

Favorite Dish: I have 2! The Opelousas Fillet - A blackened Catfish fillet with oysters & crabmeat and shrimp

The Orleans Fillet - A chargrilled fish fillet with crawfish & crabmeat, and with a garlic butter sauce

    Ok, I'm officially hungry!!! :)

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen: Absolutely scrumptious if looking for SEAFOOD!

by bluepigsinthesky Updated Jan 29, 2005 53 reviews

a non-formal yet classy cajun restaurant, the restaurant is catered towards seafood-loving customers as the name indicates. Service varies depending on locations, but i've found that it's best to go on weekdays when its not too busy. I never miss an opportunity to go dine here...

Favorite Dish: i can't pinpoint at one particular dish, but i do prefer the crab cake... deliciously sinful. the sauce is creamy without making the diner sick, with crawfish... ahhh.... a light batter, and really tender crab meat.

    Favorite Dish: Anything!
