Katy Mills / Other Malls, Houston
This is the biggest sports store I've ever seen. It has any and everything for the person who LOVES the outdoors! If and when I ever go camping I will be stocking up here!
While you shop send the kids to the center of the store for the aquarium and fake rock climbing. All the store clerks are very kind and love to entertain the children.
What to buy: Any outdoor materials from boating needs, lawn care, fishing, hiking, any outdoor shoes, any sports, etc.
What to pay: Normal prices.....
Only around 80 shops with some anchors : Foley's, Dillards, Sears.
We went there just before our departure because the mall is close to the Airport (20 min).

Sunday : noon - 6PM
What to buy: Clothes and apparels
The anchors are 5th Avenue, Saks, Ann Taylor, Bass pro, Jillian's, Burlington Coat.
The Katy Mills is one of the famous Malls we use to visit at the end of our travel. It is not the largest with only 250 shops and stores, compared with the Sawgrass Mills of Florida (Fort Lauderdale).
But it is sufficient to attract the French Tourists we are.

What to buy: Clothes and apparels (one Jeans 34$).
Records and DVD (FYE)
The outlets have a low tax rate.
There are also :
- a large food court
- a movie theater : AMC 20.
This is where I like to shop for reasonable prices. They have stores like Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Guess, Tommy Hilfigger, Timberland, Nine West, Off 5th — Saks Fifth Avenue Outlet, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Bass Pro Outdoor World, and more more more.
What to buy: Everything you normally buy at a mall. This mall is so big, you're feet will get tired.
What to pay: Prices are better than normal stores. Usually they have a good clearance section.
Spanning a seemingly unending stretch of land, this ever-expanding mall in the western boondocks can be breathtaking, reducing experienced shoppers to huffing and puffing as they try to visit just one more store. The mall is enormous; it's not out of place to carry a map. As much an entertainment destination as a retail operation, Katy Mills can keep you occupied all day (and night), though casual shoppers may find the experience overwhelming.
What to buy: Chain stores such as Banana Republic, Guess, Old Navy, Levi's form the core. Specialty shops include Animagic, Bible Factory Outlet and NASCAR Silicon Motor Speedway. Sportsmen will drool over Pro Bass Shops Outdoor World, and Kenneth Cole draws shoe addicts. Kids can keep themselves busy at the rock-climbing wall or a 20-screen AMC theater. Restaurants go beyond the average food court, with the "entertainment" venue Rainforest Cafe a particularly popular attraction.
