We both love rollercoaster so before our travel we decided to visit at least two Six Flags parks. There where a total of 4 near our traveldestination (not counting the waterparks).
The first park with went to was the Six Flags Astro World Park located near the Astrodome in Houston.
After we found the parking place we went in there and enjoyed the attractions inside.
The have the following rides:
- The Serpent (oldest openend in 1969).
- The Texas Cyclone a wooden coaster which really was great going at speeds between 60 and 65 mph.
- The Greezed Lightning.
- XLR8.
- The Viper.
- The ultra twister, with real corkscrew loops.
- Batman the Escape.
- The Mayan Mindbender (in the dark ride).
- The Serial Thriller.
We haven't been on all rides but it really was a great afternoon we had here.

Besides its sprawling 85 acres, the park boasts the most rides in the state and the fourth-largest collection of coasters in the world. One of its main attractions is the Serial Thriller, the only suspended, looping coaster of its kind in the Southwest.
Sure, there are hair-raising experiences aplenty, but there's more to Astroworld than thrills and chills. In Looney Tunes Town, the whole family can wander through Yosemite Sam's Mountaineer Maze or take a ride on the Martian spaceship. There are also live theatrical shows and special pyrotechnic treats all around the park.

Six Flags Astroworld is Houston's amusement park with several awesome rides. It is located on Loop 610 at Kirby right opposite the Astrodome. They are closed during the off-season.
