Coopers Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que
'Llano is the Barbecue Capitol of the World, and Cooper's is the best joint in town.'

This is the real deal! A low, cinder-block building with long rows of picnic tables. A theme or style copied by some other BBQ restaurants in the Dallas area except for the quality of "the Q".
Outside it is smoky and hot. You pick your meat then go inside for the fixin's.
This is perhaps the top-rated BBQ place in Texas, though, like chili and other foods, there is much debate over what is best! Still, people from all over come here, to the Hill Country for BBQ at its' best.
Favorite Dish: Pork ribs and goat (cabritto).

One of the most popular BBQ Joints in Texas. Food served on plastic trays and butcher paper. Offers brisket, sausage, pork, chicken, ribs, cobblers, potato salad, free beans and bread, pickles, sauce, and onion for sandwhiches. Also offers precooked jerkeys and meat items to go. Choose your meal off of outdoors BBQ pits. Wooden benches inside, very popular on holiday weekends and during deer season in Texas. Great place to stop if visiting Llano River, the Highland Lakes region or just passing through.
Favorite Dish: The "Big Chop" .. the biggest pork chop you'll ever get. Sausage link and bowl of peach cobbler with an iced tea. More than enough food and the to-go bags are available for you.
