The insides of most Whataburgers are pretty nice. This location is actually very nice for a fast food joint. The food is slightly more expensive than many fast food places, but I believe it's because they pay their workers more, so it is fine. You can still get a good meal for less than $5. If you are on a low fat diet, though, there aren't many low fat choices on the menu!
Favorite Dish: The combo #8 that includes 2 chicken strips, Texas toast, a small fry, and a drink (of course I get a diet coke to balance it out. ha!). It's less than $5.

This may in fact be the smallest airport I have ever been to in my life. It is also fairly monopolistic, as the only airline that flies into Gregg County is American Airlines. I believe that this airport is basically holding on to dear life because the oil industry is able to supply enough people on flights here from Dallas.
If you are headed to Longview, GGG, as well as TYL and SHV are all possible options.

Favorite thing: Longview is located 127 miles east of Dallas, TX, and 65 miles west of Shreveport, LA. It is located just north of Interstate 20, and can easily be accessible by I-20 from both Dallas and Shreveport. There are several convenient airports to use in getting to Longview, including Gregg County (GGG), Tyler, Shreveport, or Dallas/Fort Worth. Longview is a 2 hour drive from Dallas, and an hour drive from Shreveport at highway speed.

Favorite thing: vist Johnny Caseys Restaurant - I guess it's still there. Wow - they had the best food in town!
Fondest memory: My fondest memory is of my high school. The building is gone now, demolished like so many other things and new built up, but it is not forgotten.
'All hail to dear old Longview High School
We give you honor today.
We will not forget that your honor will stay.
All hail to those who came before us
And made you so strong.
We will never falter or do you wrong.'
Soppy, yes, I know, but this was our school song and we sang it every Friday at the pep rallys.
