Buddy Holly's final resting place
You should make it point to not only visit the Buddy Holly Center, but to also combine that with a visit to his grave site, located at Lubbock Cemetery. The cemetery is a tricky place to get to without GPS, but once you go past the Buddy Holly Center north, under the overpass along East 19th St, off MLK Blvd going east, then head towards the direction of Mae Simmons Park, along East 31st St., there will be signs that point you to the direction of the cemetery.
Buddy Holly's grave is going to be the first right upon entering the cemetery, right next to the little paved road. Look for all the flowers and object strewn about this grave site. His parents are buried next to his grave. Use this visit as a time to reflect and be thankful that Buddy came along and influenced an entire generation of rockers such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Elton John, amongst many others. There is no cost to enter the cemetery, naturally, just please try and respect the other graves in the vicinity.

Be friendly and be vocal about it, be ready for small talk. Lubbock Texans are cool like that. Always ask how theyre doin today or something like that. It is appreciated here. Oh yeah, and don't blaspheme (like use words like 'damn', etc.). You're in the Bible Belt, remember.
