Pier

Walk out onto the pier in the summertime and look up over your head. There may be frigate birds soaring above you.

The restaurant is a very colorful and exciting place!! The restaurant has a wonderful view of the Matagorda Harbor. The bar also has a great variety of mixed drinks and beer.

When you go to matagorda you feel like one of those promotional pictures out of a magazine where there is white sands beautiful refreshingly cool waves and no annoying tourist around.I highly recommend Matagorda Dunes for a great place to stay it has many great things going for it. For example ,it has a crystal clear pool surrounded by a beautiful lagoon. My favorite thing about Matagorda Dunes is all you have to do is walk over the dunes and your on the beach plus the world class fishing pier is just a 5 minute walk down the beach. Just down the road there is a seafood shop and sometimes if your lucky you can actually watch them fish the seafood right out of the gulf ."Take it from me get the shrimp".Also, there is a charming little souvenir shop that has the anything you could ever want to remember your trip.Things you want to bring are sunblock of course, your swimsuit,a big bucket to pick up all the beautiful shells you will find, flipflops and your camera because there will be so many memories made on your vacation. You can get more info at matagordabay.com
