Where do I start, there is the agricultural/beautiful Quinta Mazatlan where my wife and I got to take nature based tours and see some amazing sights. There is the large and developed golf courses, which I would strongly suggest seeing. There are also museums, the nature center, the movies, ther nightlife, and all of the hundreds of nice places to eat. Really enjoyed this place, it has a little bit of everthing and you can even drive out of town to visit South Padre Island, which is beyond amazing. The best part of this town is that it is extreeeeeemely cheap compared to doing things in LA. Will visit again soon. The visit was special because the city of McAllen was new and exciting to me.

Go and check out the Killer Bees (hockey), Vipers (basketball), Magic (football), and the local college teams. Had some real fun going and seeing most of these teams adn the city really gets into it. Great time.

There is always an event going on in the city that you can check out for next to zero dollars. The wife and I are going to the Garden of Eatin tour today at the Quinta Mazatlan which is a tour that shows what plants are edible and have midicinal properties in the area. Just follow the McAllen CVB facebook at http://www.facebook.com/mcallencvb they will tell you what events are happening.

One of the most beautiful courses I have been to. Great play, great grass, a must see for any golf fan.
