McKinney has preserved a number of structures which comprise historic Chestnut Square Village. Taking your family on a guided tour would make for an interesting history lesson!
A turn of the century chapel, a lodging place once know as the "Two Bit" Taylor Inn (1864), a former grocery store (1918), schoolhouse (first free school in Collin County) and several residences spanning 1854-1918 are available for tours on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays at 11 am.
