Near the town square, but off by a block or so Lone Star Wine Cellars offers a tasting room designed to blend nicely into the historic buildings and friendly atmosphere of McKinney. They feature four tastings for $7.50.

Once inside, a small tasting room welcomes you to Lone Star, which is located within a small indoor mall featuring other shops, as well.

Presently they offer wine classes two times a month, but they may be changing this to a quarterly event instead. The red wine class and the white wine class are both $35.00. A special food and wine pairing class costs $50.00.

Two main activities: A Spring tasting and Harvest Festival are held each year. On the second Saturday of each month, local artists display their work.
