Mesquite Rodeo, Mesquite

The Mesquite Rodeo is an extraordinary event that everyone should see. It is full of action and the rodeo clowns are a lot of fun. If you love cowboys, horses, excitement and rodeo clowns the Mesquite Rodeo will fit the bill. Even the little tykes get to have their fun with a petting zoo and little tykes rodeo events.

No visit to Texas would be complete with a visit to a rodeo show, this is one of the better ones around. Live music, food, professional cowboy competition in bull riding, and bronc riding can be found. The are lots of activities for kids, although I am not sure if I would let my kid ride a sheep in mutton busting:) I think one of the hardest jobs in the rodeo would be that of the clown. We saw one who was picked up by a bull and thrown in the air. Yet, still the clown can back and finished the show, that's dedication! A tip is you can get in for free if you ride your own horse in the show.
