The Country Club is just out of Mineola heading west or you pass it as you are coming into Mineola heading east. This is a 9 hole golf course which is rated as the 17th best nine hole course in Texas. There is no driving range but there is a warm up practise area. The club also has a dining area, bar and swimming pool.

Down by the railway tracks is a sports park although it seems that the various activities are a bit scattered. There is a basketball court, sand volleyball and city pavilion not to mention State Sanction Horseshoe Pits. Not exactly a hive of activity when I was there but nevertheless I’m sure popular for tossing those horseshoes.
