It took me several months of living in New Braunfels to find a great spot on the river that isn't filled with drunk teens and daytrippers. Cypress Bend Park is located just behind the cemetary off of Common Street. Several football fields long of shady shoreline along the Guadalupe River make this a great spot to hang out for the day and a great park for dogs. Many dog groups meet here on the weekends. During the week, you can have the place pretty much to yourself.
