Old Downtown Plano, Plano

Plano has a delightful downtown area which they have carefully refurbished. The original brick streets were restored in 1986. There is quite a nice historic flavour with the old buildings and turn of the century street lamps. In the towns early days (late 1800s) a major fire devastated the area. From the late 1890s to the 1940s, Second Monday Trade Days were very popular and drew people from the surrounding farms and communities to shop, trade, conduct their business and enjoy the entertainment provided in the streets of Old Downtown Plano.
