    July 4th

On July 4th, the lake becomes a popular place for parties and of course the fireworks display. Hundreds of boats take to the water around the little islands and wait for nightfall to get an armchair view of the fireworks display. Its quite spectacular, both the amount of boats as well as the display itself. Perch yourself on a hill overlooking the lake and enjoy the spectacular for around 15 mins or so. The locals also provide patriotic entertainment from the balconys of their homes overlooking the lake.
