Clay Pit: Tasty Curry, good atmosphere
I was in Austin for a couple of days so I decided to grab some ethnic food. I searched the net and found the Clay Pit. I walked a mile in the 100 degree heat and found the restaurant easily. It doesn't look like much on the outside but has a nice relaxed rustic but modern interior. A little too loud for a quiet date night but good ambiance nonetheless. I had the Jeera Saang with Lamb. Jeera Sang is according to their menu "Pureed spinach cooked with roasted cumin & spices. An Indian classic." I ordered it the hottest that they made it. After about a ten minute wait it arrived with the nan I ordered. It was delicious but not quite as spicy as I like (I like it really really spicy so it will probably be perfect for normal people) and there was just too much of it. The portion was too large for me.
