If you're looking for something to do on a rainy day, a visit to the San Antonio Public Library might be the thing to do. On top of all the books and free Internet access, the funky architecture of the place, the great interior deco (including a sumptuous glass sculpture by Dale Chihuly) and free art exhibits are definitely worth the detour.
