One of the shops still opened on the afternoon we drove into Sherman, was A Touch of Class Antique Mall. It was located in a multi-level building and crammed full of vintage and antique finds.

Large pieces of furniture: such as, armoires, dressers, beds, tables; colorfully painted animals from an old carousel, glassware and pretty floral China, old costume jewelry, 50's collectibles, old Life magazines and metal signs, photos, mirrors, not so old rotary telephones, linens, antique toys and other typical items were neatly displayed.

As I browsed through the mall for the usual items I collect, I didn't see anything that I could use at this time, which was incredible since there were three floors to explore. It appeared that several vendors were sorting out their goods with the passing of the holiday season, so a future trip might find more to consider.

Kelly Square Shops: Shops On The Square

    Kelly Square Shops

Kelly Square is an attractive historic building housing several interesting shops, operating as an indoor mall. Erected around the 1870's, these 4 separate buildings were purchased by trunk salesman, Leo Kelly (1916 through 1918) and given a brick exterior to integrate one with the other.

Stepping inside the entrance, you'll notice several shops opening off of this area with stairs leading to an upper level. I visited Sandi's, a home decor store that carried very pretty accessories and Petite Fleur, which offered stylish women's clothing, jewelry and purses.

A small antique shop was located in an upstairs corner; while Kelley's*, a pleasant looking restaurant sporting country furnishings was closed for the afternoon. Darn--I just KNOW this would have been a great place to eat lunch!!

I didn't venture in to see the other shops: Special Occasions Flowers and Happenings Fashion Boutique. My husband couldn't find a bench on which to occupy himself, so after walking around for a few minutes we left.

I thought the Kelly Square shops were quite appealing and I would stop by again. Hours are Mon.-Sat. 10am-5pm.
