Pei Wei Asian Diner: Popular Chinese Restaurant

Pei Wei Asian Diner: Popular Chinese Restaurant, Southlake

VeronicaG Says:  Pei Wei is a half step away from P.F. Chang's in that it's a more casual version of that Chinese restaurant. Feeling more like a cafeteria and less like a restaurant, Pei's serves 'wok-seared and fresh served' food that brings many of Southlake's dinner crowd to its...

Local Heroes

Friends mentioned a marker detailing a tragic encounter with infamous criminals, Clyde Barrow and Bonnie Parker that sat along Old Dove Road in Southlake, Texas.

Taking our daughter and grandson along on our search, we located the site where State Troopers Edward Bryan Wheeler and H.D. Murphy were slain after stopping to help who they thought were some "stranded motorists'. As they left their motorcylces and approached the car, shots rang out and the two were dead.

This memorial was given in 1996 by the people of Texas in thanks for the sacrifice they made to public safety.
