Temple was named for Santa Fe's Chief construction engineer, Bernard Moore Temple..
One of Temple's key assets is its strategic location directly on Interstate 35 and State Highway 36, which links the city to major Texas cities of Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Houston.

The Railroad museum.
Because of time limitations, we didn't get the opportunity to explore this museum. This is definitely one for my next trip.

Temple has some lovely parks and gardens. Well worth exploring, and spending some time among the greenery. Pack a picnic, and enjoy the surrounding scenery.

In my opinion, it would be best to have a car if you plan to travel in this area. There are flights into Temple, and Buses, but for convenience, you can't beat having your own wheels.

Favorite thing: The best way to get to know a town, is by walking around, seeing the sites, checking out the museums, historical buildings, art galleries, antique shops.
Fondest memory: My fondest memory is the pleasant atmosphere in this place. I was here twice, and both times turned out to be a fun day.
