anything within walking distance of the Grassy Knoll, almost everything that looks slick, is. The going rate for even a really good hamburger with avacados and everything is about $6.00 if they are charging more then they suck... P.S. drinks tend to be on the expensive side, beer can run you up to $4.00 a bottle mixed drinks tend to be more, bartenders expect to be tipped at every round...

The guided tour at the Alamo in San Antonio. This is a historical building and any interested in US, Mexican or Texan history should visit here, but DO NOT TAKE THE GUIDED TOUR. This was the most boring tour I have ever been on.

Dallas and Houston are not...

Dallas and Houston are not relaxing places. Prices high, crowded, bad traffic. They have points of interest, but if I weren't going with a certain thing in mind to visit, I wouldn't go at all. The rest of Texas is roomier and friendlier. But Dallas and Houston are more high-energy 'party' towns if you like that sort of thing.

Not that many tourist traps in Texas...

Well, for the exception of the cities, the State is definitly free of them. However, don't underestimate the cities for they hold several interesting activities worth a stop.
