George's has been a local gathering place for Wacoans, Baylor Alumni, and Sports goers alike since the 1930's. GEORGE'S is known for its friendly atmosphere, and as a place "where everybody knows your (NAME) beer."
Sammy Citrano has mad an atmosphere in Waco where locals, students, and travelers can enjoy great food, great friends, and ice cold beer.
Also, there is a cook there named Emory who makes some mean meals... so make sure to ask for him!
Favorite Dish: Well, seeing as I have been in George's over 100 times in my college career, I would have to recommend two dishes above all of them:
#1 Emory's Cheeseburger Basket.... its a little spicier than the cheeseburger on the menu, so make sure you ask for it!
#2 Chicken Fried Steak...
Please also remember... you must drink a Big O, and ask them to put Pat Green on the jukebox while you are there.

For great Italian, check out Barris III on Valley Mills. Ran by a true Italian and very reasonably priced. For great pizza, check Pappa Rollos, also on Valley Mills.
Both had a great atmosphere
Favorite Dish: Barris III - Calzone
Pappa Rollos - Anything pizza.

One of the best authentic Mexican food restaurants known to man. Period.
Favorite Dish: Order the burrito...never in your life will you get a bigger burrio for under 3 bucks - it's literally as big as 1 1/2 soup cans, and i'm talking the big cans, not the Campbell's size cans. Also go for the real Mexican icecream bars in the case. The banana's just like eating a real banana. It's cool.

It's a retro diner & a dive all in one! Great hamburgers, and it's fun to watch the cook heckle the regular customers during lunch (caution: she looks a little scary, but she's completely harmless).
Favorite Dish: Get a bacon cheeseburger or the chicken fried steak lunch. These people have a certain magic with food, and I think they still use lard ;) just kidding...or am I?

Expensive at dinner, but portions are twice as large as lunch and worth the service *especially the chef's own dishes, only available at night*, however, lunch is filling and economical.
Favorite Dish: Bird's Nest (crispy chicken with decadant sauce served in nest constructed out of potato strands *don't eat the bowl, mostly for show* with veggies) or try anything marked spicy.
