Another big part of Waco's is Baylor University. Baylor was established in 1845 and has grown into an internationally respected university with over 15,000 students. Taking a walking tour of the campus will let you see some very nice architecture and some neat museums.

Its a beautiful campus. The school is a member of the Big 12 Conference. Most of the campus is on the east side of Interstate 35, however the medical center and the football stadium are on the west side.

Baylor University was founded in 1845 and is the largest Baptist University in the world.

The Old Main Hall was completed in 1887 and it is one of the two original buildings of the Waco. When a strong tornado struck downtown Waco in 1953, the towers of Old Main were weakened and had to be removed for safety reasons but were rebuilt in 1973.
