    Sunrise

by Ischyros Written Feb 25, 2003

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: Start your day bright and early and be in the park before sunrise. Drive the main park road to the Petrified Dunes pulloff and park here. From here you have a perfect view of the eastern horizon. You can watch the sun rise of the Petrified Dunes and then behind you, as the sun rises, watch it turn The Great Wall into a fiery display of reds and oranges! It's gorgeous! And chances are you won't be bothered as very few people are in the park this early!

    Sunset at Delicate Arch

by Ischyros Written Feb 25, 2003

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: Hike the 1.5 mile one-way trail to Delicate Arch and be there as the sun sets. This is a sight you will never forget!! The sun sets the rock of Delicate Arch ablaze in bright reds and oranges! It is so beautiful! By the way, you won't be able to get near the arch at this time or an angry mob of photographers will push you over the edge of the cliff!! ;-)

    Arches Park Scenic Drive

by sunnywong Written Feb 25, 2003

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Fondest memory: There are numerous sites and lookouts along the Arches Park Scenic Drive. These are identified on the official map and guide to the park available for free at the entrance gate. Be sure to pick one up.

    Go to Arches National Park....

    by Pavlik_NL Written Oct 15, 2002

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: Go to Arches National Park. The landscape here is eroded in such strange forms that it will amaze anyone. Nature shows it's artistic side at the fullest in this National Park and for the best experiences you should walk the long trail that winds in between formations and arches (bridges) of astonishing variation.

Fondest memory: Several times I took deliberately wrong turns from the path to find out what was around the corner. With that you find photo-spots that are of outstanding quality and ... somehow being for a moment alone, one feels even more connected to nature.

    Pine Tree Arch

    by mht_in_la Written Jun 11, 2005
    Pine Tree Arch

Favorite thing: One of the many arches you would see if you follow Devil's Garden trail. Pine Tree Arch is not particularly grand. It has some pine trees growing at its base and so named.

Easter Island or the American Southwest?

by zrim Written Mar 5, 2003

Favorite thing: I love this view of the rock formations on the South Park Avenue trail. Doesn't the rock formation in this photo look like one of the faces from an Easter Island Moai?
