Capitol Dome is the highest peak in the park and is very representative of the type of Sandstone in the Reef.

Upon returning to Highway 24 from the scenic drive, heading west you'll have the opportunity to see several prominent formations. The first is The Castle. There's a pulloff to view this formation.

As its name suggests, this is not the place to be during a thunderstorm. But Grand Wash is a spectacular example of the stunning formations that comprise the landscape of Capitol Reef.

this trail is really nice and also easy - its only about 2 km long and u walk to a big natural bridge - after ur there keep walking to the other side of the bridge
