Cedar Breaks is a miniature Bryce. We mountain-biked at nearby Brianhead ski/mountainbike park, then stopped at Cedar Breaks on our way back to Zion.
There are several overlooks and we only stopped at two. We walked part of one of a couple trails. The sun hit this magnificient rockscape perfectly.

The peak is 11307 feet. We were shuttled to the top with our bikes and bombed down the mountain on a trail of our choice and skill level. Absolutely gorgeous! Aspens, pines, glades, thickets, you name it. And speed! 98% downhill for five miles, what a dream come true.

Bombing downhill has its ups and downs, figuratively. A mean-spirited rock smashed into Michienne's deurailler and mangled it, paralyzing the chain and shifting mechanism.
We were about halfway down, so it really didn't matter so long as his breaks worked! He just piled the chain into a ball along the frame, secured it and rode on.

This photo gives credence to the area's namesake. The region is just a small pocket of orange rock then it continues on as thick evergreen forest (yum).
