For directions to this "locals" Anasazi location, ask Sharol Bernardo at Desert Wolf Gallery for explicit directions. You won't likely find it without some local help. Its best viewed in the morning hours. Watch for rattlesnakes among the rocks!
- Hiking and Walking
The trip over Boulder Mountain always felt like the 'Trip to Witch Mountain' you head up the road. It's paved, then it's gravel. You wonder around the mountain for days (actually the trip took 2 hours) with blue sky peeking through the trees occasionally. The gloom seemed inpenetrable at times. Then the road became rock. Not gravel, not dirt, but actual rocks. Jostled up and down, left and right. Suddenly there's a sign! A Forest Service Campground up the road to the left. ------ The road, ---- it's gravel again. More signs for campgrounds, fishing access, even a lake (small, I'd guess). Then the road is again paved. Talk about the journey of a life time. I'd do it again, when I get the chance.

Burr Trail Road
At one time, it literally was a beaten path. I've heard that most of it is now paved. The stories of the trip are legend and Someday, I hope to make it myself.
