Gunnison is a small town in Sanpete County in the center of Utah. It has a population of about 2500 and is located along US Highway 89. The town was founded in 1859 and is named for John W. Gunnison an army officer who surveyed the area in 1853. Gunnison has several buildings of historical and/or architectural interest. One of my favorites is this old theater building.
