The decor was modern and eclectic. My waitress, Sarah, was cute with a great smile and was a very good waitress. The menu is fairly varied, too.

Favorite Dish: I enjoyed my Memphis BBQ Spaghetti (Shredded Pork and Beef in a BBQ Sauce over Spaghetti).

you have to see it to believe it.

Beautiful building with an even nicer interior. The menu is amazingly diverse, full of nice simple dishes.

try it, and you'll love it !

Favorite Dish: Irish Boxty... but then again, I have to go back and try everything else !

In 1946 The Mawhinneys went into business in Heber city by starting a motel. Along with that motel they owned some property they leased out to the Schribners. The Schribners owned a Dairy Queen, but it wasn’t doing very well. So they decided to sell it. The Mawhinneys bought the building, since it was on their land, hoping to sell them together. They had no immediate buyers, and they needed to make some money to pay their bills. To make money the Mawhinneys opened a fast food restaurant. The only problem was, what to name it. Since they were short on money they couldn’t buy an expensive sign. The cheapest way was to alter the Dairy Queen sign they already had. The most logical way to change the sign was to take the QU off and place a K in its place. Ever since then the restaurant has been known as the Dairy Keen. In 1998 after seven previous renovations the building was old and too small. So they decided to rebuild. With the rebuild came a new name, “Home of the Train/ Dairy Keen.”

Photo Equipment: extra lithium bats for the cold

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: sleeping bag rated to -50 if possible, mine was a 5 degree down bag and I slept in my truck under as many blankets as I could find

Favorite thing: It's a very small little town that I think was shocked to have so many people driving through and staying there but it was nice. Not really a destination though unless the Olympics come back.

Fondest memory: How about my worst? No Alcohol! The whole mormon thing is just crazy to me and it's not really the lack of beer or anything. The religion to me is crazy almost like a cult but the people of Utah are nice. No disrespect meant to them at all.
