Kodachrome Basin State Park

The main road through the park is paved and open all year. Since the park is located in a valley at a mere 5,000 feet above sea level, there is little snow in the area. But several of the park's attractions, including Shakespeare Arch, are located along dirt roads. These roads may be impassible after rain or snow.

Make sure to always stay on established trails. Its important not only to protect the landscape from damage, but for your own protection as well. Straying off the path on a trail like this could lead to a nasty spill.
