Perhaps the most famous view of Monument Valley is available without leaving the Visitor's Center.....the ever famous Mittens
It is a short detour off the main loop road to Artist's Point. Here you will find a large parking area with this splendid view west toward the Mitten Buttes and Merrick Butte.

but you cannot see it very good on this picture.
ok you must have fantasy for the pictures and the only camels here are in the zoo.

Take a Ride with Indians in an old Truck through Monument Valley.
It's open air, so eat the dust. Collect it between your teeth. This is lots of fun.
This picture was taken about one hour after the picture on the intro page, on the same day. The storm passed through quickly. It was an amazing experience!
Here comes the sunset. We were lucky that year - there had been a rather bad thunderstorm (frequent in summer), and the sky took on incredible colours.
Sunrise over Monument Valley! Get up early and hurry to the visitors center (no entrance fee that early...). The view is spectacular.
