Ricardo's Mexican Restaurant: Do not expect "authentic Mexican"

This is an ok place, but the food is - I would call it: "American Mexican"
If you are looking for authentic Mexican flavour, you best try some other spot.
Not fancy ambiance either... But an ok restaurant if you are in a hurry and craving some sort of a Mexican taste locally.
As many restaurants in Utah, this one does not offer alcoholic beverages.
They do serve pretty big portions though.

Magleby's is a very conscientiously run restaurant.
The seafood is perfect, and the place has very nice elegant setting.
The owner (Doc) takes a special interest in his guests, sometimes even coming to your table and chatting with, you (recommending a certain dish, and or even trying some of your dish just because he wants to see how *that one* tastes = and then letting you take a whole new of the same dish home just 'cuz he had a taste from your plate) :o)

Jamba Juice: Extraordinary health experience

I go to the gym in the morning,do about 45 minutes of hard cardio, hop on my car, ride under Utah's 100° heat, and there it is,beckoning: JAMBA JUICE!
Can't believe someone didn't come up with this idea earlier: Jamba Juice makes healthy smoothies, breads, pretzels, and soups, and serves them up at really clean, friendly-looking, cafe-type restaurant.
Smoothies are divided into five categories: Power Smoothies, Berry Patch Smoothies, Moo'd Smoothies, Citrus Grove Smoothies, and Tropical Isle Smoothies.
Within each category, there are several different smoothies.
Not only is this healthy, you get a free "boost" with each smoothie, and each additional boost costs 50 cents.
There are six boosts: a vitamin boost, an energy boost (contains ginseng and ginko), a protein boost, an immunity boost (echinacea, antioxidants, and other ingredients), a fiber boost, and a women's health boost (calcium, iron, B vitamins, folic acid).
The decor of the place oozes--no, Colonel Sanders oozes--let's try that again: The decor of the place radiates with an ambiance of openness and good health. Everyone is friendly, and the nutritional information about each smoothie is posted on the wall on in little flyers you can pick up at the counter.
The price of a smoothie, with one free "boost," is about $3.50. Pretzels are about $1.00 each, and I think the soup cost about $2.00. I haven't even tried the bread yet.
Once you've been to this place, you might only be able to handle Colonel Sanders, Taco Bell or Burger King two or three times a week... ain't that a plus! ;oD
Jamba Juice is deffinitively an extraordinary health experience unlike any you've ever tasted. Jamba is enticing fruit and vegetable flavors, vital nutrients and total convenience: everything you need to live an active, healthy life.
Happy Helpful staff, clean kitchen area, and fine looking pastel coloured drinks with fresh fruit.
Very Highly Recommended.

Favorite Dish: The smoothies are delicious! The flavors are fresh, and I can taste each of the ingredients. The consistency is so thick and not watered down like Orange Julius juices and smoothies.
I start with a spoon, switching to my straw when the sun has melted things down a bit. This place is a great pit-stop when you're out cycling (or whatever you may be doing) and are thirsty or hungry but don't want to slow down.
What if you want something solid to go with your smoothie? You can grab a pretzel, which is served hot, with an almost crispy exterior and a bread-like interior. You can also have a bowl of hot soup.
My favorite smoothie is Mango Mantra with an energy boost or the Strawberries Wild.!

Their business card

The taste of home made authentic mexican food........!!!! Try the "molcajete Hiro" (a "molcajete" is the stone bowl or mortar and a pestle to grind chiles and spices used in Mexico and some other Latinamerican countries) and they bring one of those, filled with chorizo, chicken, Mexican cheese, steak and fabulous plump huge shrimp! served with tortillas, and rice and salad. It's enough to feed two people or three and it's only $12!
The flavour is beyond description! it was superb! charbroiled, juicy..... yum!
I deffinitively recommend this restaurant!

Chef's Table: A rich elegant experience

My husband and I are hooked on this restaurant!
Is one of the best run places in the state of Utah.
The service staff is knowledgeable and gracious (even with wine list - which is impressive to find anywhere in Mormon country!)

From the fireplace glowing with the flames of huge candles to the mellow piano music or a hostess draping napkins in your lap, this decidedly fine-dining restaurant has all the hallmarks of an upscale place: linen on the tables, fine art on the walls, soft lighting, service that is unbelievably welcoming, efficient and thorough.

The food is wonderful and the menu is large.
Even when packed, everything is perfect.
The hosts are great, the food is great, the service is great.
This restaurant has won many different awards. You indeed experience why if you visit.

Favorite Dish: I recommend the French onion soup, a quite different version than I've had elsewhere.
The broth was thick and very intensely flavored. Most French onion soup is lighter and sweeter than the version at Chef's Table, with the natural harshness of raw onions mellowed by cooking. Here, the bitterness remained, ripened by beef flavors.

For the main course: the Oscar Filet, featured beef tenderloin stuffed with Alaskan crab and served in a pool of hollandaise sauce, with vegetables and the most perfect scalloped potatoes I have ever eaten!!
The Chicken Marsala and Mushroom & Gorgonzola stuffed beef Tenderloin are fabulous as well!

Great wine selections!

And for dessert the apple beggar's purse: firm roasted apples flavored with cinnamon, nutmeg and cream cheese in a compact phyllo "purse," with vanilla cream and apple caramel sauces. Those sweet-creamy-tangy flavors lingered on my tongue long after the meal.
