The Broken Thumb is a local’s bar located in the Park City Rec Center. This low profile bar hosts some of the best wings you will have in Park City. Tuesday’s are half off and although it is not on the menu – the best way to get them is with either the CTEC sauce (a mixture of three of the sauces - teriyaki, garlic and medium hot sauce) or the one we made up the ASC (a mixture of three of the sauces - teriyaki, bbq and sweet and sour sauce).
It is not on the menu but locals know to order it. YUMYY! The Broken Thumb is open Daily 11am-10pm. As with any Park City restaurant – plan for a long lunch. Service is okay but VERY VERY SLOW!

Heber City is only about 20 to 30 minutes from Park City and it is a whole different world. A nice town with a more residential field to it. Much less expensive than Park City yet it has the same offer of great skiing, lodging and things to do.
Many people plan on staying in Heber City and taking the time to ski the other resorts in the area. It has a rural farm and ranch quality to it and really feels like the "West".
Heber is also known for it's wonderful many train rides you can take to tour and see the beautiful landscapes of the mountains in that area. Great fly fishing in the area and golf also.

Sundance Valley Ski Resort located off Route 189 between Heber and Provo in Utah is the famous area that was bought and developed by Robert Redford. It is confused often with it's sister the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah...not too far away.
It is in a very narrow valley that comes to a dead end. A very small ski resort that has slopes for all types of skiiers from beginners to the advanced. The parking area is small which encourages just enough skiiers to be on the mountain at once. A favorite place for local college students because it is much more reasonable for a lift ticket and less croweded than the Park City slopes in the area. Beautiful and remote, I loved this area. Heber which is neaby is a nice city and also reasonable to stay at yet provides the best of everything for the skiier and summer visitor.

Deer Valley is a very exclusive ski resort on the back side of Park City, Utah. Filled with luxurious Lodges and private mountain homes. The ski trails go over and under the road that you travel through this amazingly beauiful resort. Walk out your door and ski down a trail and take a ski lift back home.
This place is like it's own little village, a few shops and cafes available. Beautiful scenery and great skiing....but almost too pretencious. However, if you like luxury, great packed powder skiing and a place to brag about when you get home to impress your neighbors then Deer Valley is the place to visit.

This is in a strip mall located near Prospector Square. They have great Mexican food
and a awesome fresh Salsa Bar. It's a small place and not fancy but the food is really good.

Fresh fruit stands! I found a vendor selling fresh picked raspberries (my fave!) and fresh cherries. I was in heaven! Make sure you stop to get fresh fruit!
