As with most any Utah restaurant but especially in Park City anything rated ***** would be *** , anywhere else in the world.
While there are some authentic relics of the old mining days that are of some interest. Much of the town and it's residents are from the last 5-10 years. Just as the new building are phoney plastic shells meant to appear like the real thing much like Disneyland, so go most of the new "mountain people" that have moved there to been seen, put the ski rack on their SUV and ski green runs on sunny days only.
All and all it's ok for the "family" ,multi-childed get away. But for authentic western skiing and mediocre food at mediocre prices, you're better off to stay in Salt Lake and sample more of the multitude of ski areas available here.
Unique Suggestions: Realize that you will be overpaying for mediocre food and snobby service. And just go with the flow.
Realize that "local" reviews and tips are bought and paid for. The less hype you hear about a place the more likely you get what's advertised.
Especially avoid the $35 spaghetti at the pretentious "Grappa".

No, not seriously, but when you finish your hot air ballon ride you get to help them fold it up, not really a trap, but the end to a fun time.
