Park Cafe at the corner of 600 East and 1300 South in Salt Lake City.
In Spring Summer and Fall before the snow flies, you can sit on their patio and enjoy a view of Liberty Park.
Favorite Dish: Chocolate Raspberry Torte is wonderful, and they have great breakfasts!
Another favorite of mine is a little Japanese restaurant called Windy's Sukiyaki
Windy's has two dining sections. One section has regular tables, and the other has little private tea rooms. I recommend dining in a tea room. It is authentically decorated, and each tea room has a view of a small Japanese garden. Due to their popularity, some nights, tea rooms are available by reservation only.
Favorite Dish: They have excellent sushi and sukiyaki.
My favorite is a little restaurant called The Oaks.
The Oaks has a very interesting atmosphere. It has both indoor and outdoor dining. The indoor dining is very cozy and nicely decorated. The outdoor dining has several dining terraces that overlook the Ogden River with some nicely secluded tables.
Favorite Dish: They have changed their menu and no longer have the delicious chicken that I loved. However, they do still have their wonderful hamburgers. Try the Oak Burger, it's the best!
$12 as of August 2012. The decor was nothing that special but the food was good as was the service. Good selection of seafood on the buffet.
I do love breweries! They always seem to have excellent food, and their microbrews are always good too. This place is no exception.
