St George, downtown

Favorite thing: St. George, the biggest city in southern Utah, has much more to offer than only be a drive-through from Las Vegas to Utah’s National Parks, such as Zion NP and Bruyce Canyon.

Also called Utah’s Dixie, as wonderful relaxing climate, more than 300 days sunshine per year. Therefore, it’s a perfect area for any outdoors you can imagine. The winters are mild with very low humidity.

Pine Mountains

Favorite thing: The scenery outside the city of St. George is spectacular. There's a contrast between the red rocks and the distant mountains that's captivating. Seeing this view for the first time made me realize that I was really going to like Utah.

Favorite thing: Watch or participate in the Saint George Marathon held every year on the first Saturday in October. It is a picturesque event that attracts runners from all over the world. It's well worth the trip for anyone who'd like to run in the marathon.

Favorite thing: Head east and visit Zion National Park. St. George isn't the closest possible spot to base from, but it's the most completely serviced. I'll let others talk about Zion, I've only driven through on my way to other places. Needless to say, however, it's stunning.

Fondest memory: My trip to Mesquite, Nevada and doing pretty dang well at the blackjack table! Started with $20 and left with $165, which paid for my accomodation!
