Try hiking or driving up one of the nearby hills for a good view of Saint George and the surroundings. It's especially picturesque at night. My own recommended vista is just outside the airport. Find the lower end of Airport road at the junction of highways 18 and 34.
At the visitor's center at the morman temple is wonderfull statue of the risen Christ . Coming from I believe finland Jesus looks very nordic and has the wounds of cruxification on the hands and feet . Also a model of Jersulem from the time of Jesus from 30- 40 a.d. with laser pointers to different areas of interest to christians . Don't worry the visitor's center is open to all (not just mormons) me and my wife are Luthern and Catholic . Do expect a brief pitch of L.D.S. but the missionaries are very nice and took great picture of my family in front of Jesus statue that we will be senting out for Easter . To get to the temple enter saint george , utah and just look around the tallest building in town is white and gothic looking and is in center of 'old part ' of town (very easy to find ) and visitor's center is on northeast corner of the temple . Additionally there is some very good painting of jesus's life throughout center .
PS The temple at Saint George is the oldest temple and 1st in the Latter Days Saints built .
