    Fry Sauce

by Segolily Written Oct 24, 2006

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

You might be asked at a restaurant (mostly fast food ones), "would you like fry sauce?" I grew up on fry sauce and thought everyone had it, but apparently not. You eat it with fries and I highly recommend it instead of ketchup. It is a combination of ketchup, mayo and a variety of flavoring. Try it, you might get hooked.

    Hillside letters

by Segolily Written Apr 20, 2008

I don't know if you will find this anywhere except the dry and arid west. Letters on the hillsides. They represent the local colleges and high schools. The most obvious letter in the Salt Lake Valley is the hugh "U" by the University of Utah. There are lights surrounding it and on a game day you may see the lights blinking meaning they won their game. There is a similar one in Utah County only a "Y" representing BYU. The one I have a picture of is the "H" rock. It represents Highland High School. When I was in school sometimes we would wake up with it having been turned into a red "E" because we were playing East that week and there was a rather fierce rivalry.
In other parts of the state you will come across "BR" = Bear River High or "C" = Cyprus or "P" = Panguitch or Parowan High, etc. Just a little trivia to pass on.

I'm adding this here for lack...

I'm adding this here for lack of a better spot. When I was here skiing here in '97, I fell on the mountain one day and hurt my back. Once I got back to SLC, I searched for a place to get a massage that wasn't too expensive. That's when I found the Utah College of Massage Therapy. It's really inexpensive because the students are practicing on you! You get an hour, so I got much more than just my back massaged - shoulders, arms, legs, etc. This was my first ever professional massage so I have nothing to compare it to, but it helped my back. The male masseuse did ask if I wanted my glutes massaged which I didn't (how would that help my back? :) ) I know that's part of the training and all, but it would have made me very uncomfortable and tense, which you don't want to be. Anyway, I thought some of you weary travelers would have an interest in this.

    Crossing the streets....

    by cadiana88 Updated Apr 30, 2008

...it's very easy en Salt Lake City, even when the streets are the widest I've seen and even in Downtown and even in the middle of the block...

Use one of these pink flags and cross the streets without watching to both sides....incredible....fantastic. Even people from other places in USA can't believe it....
