Port O' Call: No longer in existence

by Segolily Written Dec 11, 2011

I don't know any other way to post this, so hope this helps. Port o'call was a popular spot, but the government wanted the land to expand the courthouse so the building had to go. February 2009 was the end of that era.

Places to go instead? The new Green Pig Pub has many of the same fixtures. Gracies is the new upscale word of mouth favorite,

Port O' Call: Too much for SLC....

    by cadiana88 Updated Sep 6, 2007

Quiet place, with a lot of TVs.
Regular food, you need to buy a membership for $4 that lasts 3 weeks because it's in fact a Private Club.
It has also a disco but I didn't visit it.
If you come from places like Argentina, Brazil, Spain, it'll not satisfied you.

Dress Code: No dress code. Dress casual....

Port O' Call: one of the best clubs

    by CptCrunch767 Written Mar 4, 2007

Port O' Call is three stories high with a basement full of TV's pool, darts and fools ball tabels. during sporting events downstairs is the place to be you can keep an eye on every game going on that night/day because each TV has a different game on it. so just park infront of the TV with your favorite team and order a few drinks and food when the waitress comes around. during the evening and early afternoon this is a great place to eat, they have tables on one half of the first floor or you can sit at the bar. the second and third levels are mainly areas for daceing and listening to music. many nights the first floor will have one band, the second anouther and the third yet anouther band playing all iwth different types of music so you can go where your favorite music is. otherwise when bands are not there they have different music playing on each floor also. there is at lest one bar on each floor and in the basment , the only thing that sucks is the 3rd floor doesnt have its own bathroom so you have to go down to the second floor and it gets really crowded there and there is usually a huge line.

Dress Code: dress nice, like jeans nice shoes and a nice shirt will do

Port o' Call: 4 floors of fun

by virtualpatrick Written Jun 11, 2003

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

4 floors of activities in downtown SLC. Place for seeing live music, DJ spun dance club, SLC largest sports bar, and an outdoor patio.

As with most Salt Lake City bars, you need a membership or have someone who has a membership to get you in.

Port o' Call membership: $5 for 2 weeks (allowed 5 guests); $17 annually (unlimited guests)

    Dress Code: Casual, neat

Port O'Call: Simply the best one!

    Downstairs: Sport Bar.
Upstairs DJs or concerts depending on the day.
If you are hungry they prepare good burgers!
The worst: they don't serve alcohol around 1 o' clock and they close really early!!! This problem is common in all Utah...
Definitely Utah is not the best place around the World to go out... On the other hand during the day is really lovely!

    Dress Code: Casual

    Port-O-Call (Sports Bar) is...

    by kinipela6 Written Aug 24, 2002

    0.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Port-O-Call (Sports Bar) is rated in the top 10 sports bars in the country. If you go on a Friday, go before 9:30, or you'll wait in line for a while! It's totally worth it... the bar is HUGE, with 4 levels... and all types of people.
