The Mandarin: The Best Chinese in Utah!

by BeckyL Updated Aug 16, 2003 4 reviews

Actually, I think it just might be the best Chinese anywhere! (: This restuaurant is one of my families favorites and is often the place we go to for "special occasions." I usually don't like Chinese food but this place is AMAZING! The owner is Greek so it has a Mediteranean twist [the sauces in particular set this place a part]. This is a very popular; the line starts forming around 5 pm. But it is worth the wait. The owner and his daughter (she has dark curly hair) are always there making sure that everthing is just right. The Mandarin's hours are: M-H 5pm - p:30pm, F-S 5pm - 10:30pm. I don't think they take reservations for parties under 8 of something like that. They also have take-out. For your money, it's the best food in town!

Favorite Dish: These are my all-time favorites:
Three Flavor Sizzling Rice Soup, Beef w/Green Beens (Asparagus if in season), Mediterannean Chicken, all with steamed rice of course, and for dessert: Falling-Angel Cake w/ Orange Ice-Cream! Dang!
